Fraudulent emails

We have received reports from businesses about fraudulent emails falsely claiming to be from regulated legal professionals including solicitors and barristers. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappse scam messages may misuse the names and contact details of unconnected registered solicitors. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp messages may include their Solicitorsâ€� Regulation Authority (SRA) number to promote bogus ‘servicesâ€� and give an air of legitimacy to their activities. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappir communications may also falsely suggest they have an affiliation with the IPO.

Suggested action you can take

Impersonating a solicitor is a criminal offence. We are urging anyone targeted to report this to the police via , or your local Trading Standards office. After obtaining an Action Fraud reference number, you can also report a summary to the SRA. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp SRA also provides and responding to identity theft.
