»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp government welcomes the report by the House of Lords Select Committee on Soft Power and the UK’s Influence: Persuasion and Power in the Modern World. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp government agrees with the Committee that this is an important area and that the UK has a significant store of soft power assets and instruments at its disposal. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp government also agrees with the Committee that elements of soft power require a long-term investment and that the benefits of such investments should be clearly understandable for the British public. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp GREAT Britain campaign continues to play an important role in coordinating the UK’s soft power work in support of its prosperity objectives, and the legacy of a successful Olympics continues to be felt.
