At Budget 2018 the Chancellor announced the government鈥檚 aspiration to end low pay, and to this year confirm the remit of the Low Pay Commission for the years beyond 2020. 皇冠体育app government has appointed Professor Arindrajit Dube to undertake a review on the latest international evidence on the impacts of minimum wages. 皇冠体育app review will inform wider work underway on the Low Pay Commission鈥檚 future remit, which will include broad consultation with a range of stakeholders, and the Low Pay Commission itself.

皇冠体育app review will report to HM Treasury and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Professor Dube will also engage with the Low Pay Commission over the course of his work.
