»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Government committed in the Coalition Programme to give the National Audit Office full access to the BBC’s accounts to ensure transparency. This commitment was also included in the DCMS Business Plan. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp commitment was achieved when the amended was laid in Parliament on 15 September 2011.
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Secretary of State discussed with the Chair of the BBC Trust the detail of how the commitment could be achieved and how the BBC’s revised value-for-money arrangements should feature in the amended BBC Agreement. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Secretary of State also consulted the Comptroller and Auditor General on the matter.
