Ofsted issued Somerset county council with an improvement notice on 21 November 2013, following an inspection that found child protection services 鈥榠nadequate鈥�. On 27 March 2015, Ofsted judged the council 鈥榠nadequate鈥� for a second time.

皇冠体育app Children and Families Minister has written to the Leader of the Council informing him that he has appointed a review team led by Dave Hill, Director of Children鈥檚 Services at Essex county council. 皇冠体育app review team will oversee Somerset鈥檚 response to the Ofsted inspection and advise ministers on options for making improvements.
