Reporting week 22: 29 May to 4 June 2023
During week 22, there were further small increases in selected seasonal syndromic systems and indicators including NHS 111 calls for insect bites and 鈥榠mpact of heat鈥�, all in line with seasonally expected levels.
Remote health advice syndromic surveillance system
During week 22, there were small increases in NHS 111 calls and online assessments for diarrhoea, particularly in adult age groups. 皇冠体育appre were also increases observed in calls and online assessments for 鈥榟eat exposure or sunburn鈥� and insect bites, both in line with seasonal expectations.

GP in hours syndromic surveillance system
During week 22, all GP in-hours respiratory indicators remained stable or decreased. 皇冠体育appre was a small increase in the consultation rate for insect bites but they remain at seasonally expected levels.

GP out of hours syndromic surveillance system
Daily GP out-of-hours contact data from 4 August 2022 onwards has not been received due to a widely publicised disruption faced by one of the GP out-of-hours clinical software system providers. We have since been informed that this disruption was as a result of a cybersecurity incident caused by ransomware. We are working closely with our data provider to restore the daily syndromic feed.

Emergency department syndromic surveillance system
皇冠体育appre were small increases in emergency department (ED) attendances for 鈥榟eat or sunstroke鈥� during week 22 but numbers remain relatively low and at expected levels. 皇冠体育appre were further decreases in respiratory ED attendances during week 22, including COVID-19-like attendances.

Ambulance syndromic surveillance system
During week 22, all ambulance call syndromic indicators remained stable or decreasing with current activity at or below seasonally expected levels.
