皇冠体育app government introduced an unprecedented package of measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 to protect millions of jobs and incomes to help ease the financial burden for businesses and the UK population. 皇冠体育app Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) was one of the schemes introduced at pace to mitigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labour market and wider UK economy.

皇冠体育app CJRS final evaluation builds on the interim evaluation published in October 2022. This final evaluation assesses the impact of the CJRS, particularly in the latter stages of the scheme, as well as the value for money of the entire scheme.

皇冠体育app CJRS final evaluation covers topics including error and fraud, as well as the impact of the scheme in protecting jobs, preventing permanent employer closures and protecting household incomes. 皇冠体育app evaluation also addresses the scheme鈥檚 impact on the wider economy, its overall value to society and the lessons that can be learned from the implementation of the CJRS.

皇冠体育app CJRS final evaluation draws on evidence from a range of sources, such as internal data, analysis and research, including research commissioned to an independent research agency.
