This report presents findings on research into the experiences of disabled-non-users of rail in Great Britain. 皇冠体育app research aimed to:
- collect data on the experiences, attitudes and opinions of disabled non-users of the railway
- understand why this group doesn鈥檛 travel by rail
- identify and understand any previously unrecognised, or less well understood, barriers to rail travel that may impact this group
- understand what should be prioritised to help make rail travel more inclusive and accessible
皇冠体育app Department for Transport commissioned 2CV Research to conduct this research.
This project consisted of both qualitative and quantitative elements.
皇冠体育app quantitative aspect consisted of an online survey and computer-assisted telephone interviews. Fieldwork for the online survey and telephone interviews took place between December 2020 and January 2021. 皇冠体育app qualitative element consisted of 40, 1-hour in-depth individual interviews. 皇冠体育app qualitative fieldwork took place from February to March 2021.
