Passenger journeys

In the year to June 2014:

• an estimated 4.71 billion bus passenger journeys were made in England, around 91 million more than during the previous year
• passenger journeys in London increased by 2.4% while outside London bus use increased 1.6% compared to the year to June 2013

Comparing April to June 2014 with April to June 2013:

• there was a 0.4% increase in bus passenger journeys in England with a 0.3% increase in London and a 0.5% increase outside London
• bus passenger journeys increased by 1.4% in Scotland and decreased by 1.7% in Wales over the same period

Bus Fares Index

Comparing June 2014 with June 2013:

• there was an increase in bus fares of 3.0% in England (3.1% in London, 2.5% in metropolitan areas and 3.3% in non metropolitan areas). 皇冠体育app all items retail prices index increased by 2.6% over this period
