Under the provisions of the Act individuals have the right to
- find out what information the government and other organisations store about you
- be informed how your data is usedÌý
- access personal data
- have incorrect data updated
- have data erased
- stop or restrict the processing of your dataÌý
- allow you to get and reuse your data for different servicesÌý
- object to how your data is processed in certain circumstancesÌý
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Data Protection Unit DPU is responsible for all administrative aspects of the DPA within the Department.
You can obtain information about specific items of data protection
- by requesting it from your Data Protection Officer (DPO) or from the DPU
- by requesting it from the company secretary if there is no DPO
