CDSSG04420 - Navigating the Tariff, Step 4 - Understanding the relationship between Procedure Codes and Additional Procedure Codes
Additional Procedure Codes may only be declared in DE 1/11 if they are compatible with the Procedure Code declared in DE 1/10.Ìý »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappse may be identified either by using the correlation matrix (see section CDSSG04410) or from within the specific Procedure Codes Completion Notes.Ìý »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp list of permitted Additional Procedure Codes allowed with a particular Procedure Code can be found above the Notes section at the end of the Procedure Code's Completion Instructions.
If the UK Trade Tariff, CDS Volume 3 does not permit the combination of the DE 1/10 and DE 1/11 codes declared, the declaration will be rejected by CDS.
Each DE 1/10 Procedure Code specifies within its Completion Notes which DE 1/11 Additional Procedure Codes are permitted.
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Additional Procedure Codes declared in DE 1/11 for the goods item must be selected from the list of permitted codes.
Users must identify the compatible codes prior to making their selection to avoid declaring a code that is not a valid DE 1/10 and DE 1/11 combination.
For example, DE 1/10 5100 may be declared with code A04 in DE 1/11.
It may not be declared with B06 as this is not shown in the list:
