Serving a claim
A claim form must be served within 4 months from the date of issue.
Cases issued clerically
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) provide for a claim to be served to the address shown on the N1 by either
- personal service by the claimant
- postal service by the court by first class post
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp court will normally serve the claim unless you want to serve it yourself.
CCBC cases
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp CCBC issues all claims by post.
Deemed date of service
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp deemed date of service is the date the claim form is served on the defendant and depends on the method of service (see DMBM665390).
