Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Applicationâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Change of Circumstancesâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Household� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant Detailsâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Application� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant Detailsâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you are taken straight to the ‘Applicant Details� screen, go to Step 2.

Step 2

On the ‘Applicant Details� screen

  • select ‘CCâ€� on the toolbar. You’ll be taken to the ‘Childcare Detailsâ€� screen
  • select the childcare provider whose costs have changed
  • select ‘Changeâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Change Childcare Providerâ€� screen
  • select the tax year in the ‘Costsâ€� field by clicking on the appropriate checkbox
  • select the costs that have changed from the ‘Costsâ€� field
  • select ‘Changeâ€�. You’ll taken to the ‘Amend Costâ€� screen
  • enter the end date in the ‘Endâ€� field
    Note:ÌýIn cases where the childcare provider is no longer registered or approved, the childcare costs must be removed from the day after the registration or approval ended. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappre is no eligibility for a four week run on payment.
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ll be taken back to the ‘Change Childcare Providerâ€� screen
  • select ‘Châ€� on the toolbar. You’ll be taken to the ‘Child Detailsâ€� screen
  • select the appropriate child
  • select ‘Correctionâ€�. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp ‘Correction Childâ€� screen will display
  • enter the end date in the ‘In Childcareâ€� field
    Note: This will be the same date as the date the childcare costs ended.
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you have made the change to a pre-award claim, you have ended the childcare costs. Return to the guidance you were previously following.

If you have made the change to a post award claim

  • you’ll be taken to the ‘Amend Finishâ€� screen
  • do not complete the ‘Amend Finishâ€� screen at this point, just return to the guidance you were previously following.
