Abstract

»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Legal Assistance for Economic Reform (LASER) programme is an initiative funded by the Department for International Development. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp programme which is implemented by the Law and Development Partnership and KPMG supports developing countries to strengthen their investment climates. This guidance note is part of a suite of LASER products which develops latest thinking on approaches to investment climate and institutional reform.

This guidance note is for development practitioners on how to ‘do development differentlyâ€� and apply a problem driven and iterative approach on the ground. It sets out a number of good practice approaches that can offer valuable insights for how advisors can best provide technical support to developing country partners. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp approaches set out in the guidance can be used through scoping, detailed design and ongoing implementation of projects. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp guidance draws on lessons learnt, in particular from the LASER Rwanda pilot.
