Abstract

This report details results of a project to investigate the legal and illegal markets for cigarettes in Poland to determine the extent of smuggled cigarettes in the country. 皇冠体育app research will help researchers and policymakers determine an optimal set of tobacco control policy interventions for Poland, with a particular focus on formulating an evidence-based argument for the government to continue to legislate tobacco tax increases. 皇冠体育app research will ultimately provide evidence needed to support implementation and ratification of the FCTC in Poland, specifically with regard to the obligations contained in the special protocol on smuggling.
